History of Pat's Orchard

The oldest tree in the orchard, an olive, was planted in 1985. This tree is the center of the windbreak and also provides olives, shade, cooling, firewood, and shade for a dining table and lounges. The original orchard has mostly aged out and been replaced with more modern varieties on better rootstocks.

In [year] a jujube was planted and [number] seedlings have been allowed to flourish forming what is now known as The Grove. The most productive trees are the apricots and apricot crosses because there are more of them than there are plums and plum crosses, but most diners seem to prefer items made with our plums.
